Authentic Military Boonie Hat
This original boonie hat is made of durable 50% nylon 50% cotton ripstop fabric. The ventilation vents on each side of the hat give this hat great breathability. A webbing around the brim of the hat is great for fishing lures, shot shells, and anything else you could come up with to utilize. The 2-1/2: wide brim is wonderful at keeping the sun off your neck and ears. The hat is also made in USA.

Perfect field hat!
The best sun hat I’ve found, for hiking, working in the yard, or driving my Jeep with the top down. I do replace the leather keeper on the cord with a plastic cord lock as the leather doesn’t really stay in place very well when it’s really windy. As advertised, the khaki hat is ripstop and the digital woodland is twill, both gov’t spec 50 cotton/50 nylon. Same basic hat but different mil-spec no. No USMC insignia which is fine with me; I didn’t earn the right to wear that.
